Nalanda Interact Club’s “Oru Kaipidi Arisi” Project Collects 2655 Kgs of Rice for Orphanages

The Interact Club of Nalanda International Public School successfully executed its “Oru Kaipidisi Arisi” (A Handful of Rice) project, a significant act of charity that culminated in the collection of 2655 kilograms of rice. This remarkable achievement was made possible through the collective efforts and generous contributions of students, school staff, and the members of the Rotary Club of Krishnagiri.
The project meeting was conducted on October 23, 2025, and was formally inaugurated by Chief Guest Rtn. Subramani Reddy G, Regional Interact Chair. The event saw the active participation of other Rotary members, including President Rtn. K. Ashok Naidu, Secretary Rtn. D. Viswanathan, and Treasurer Rtn. H. N. Suresh Guptha, alongside the entire school Interact Club. The dedication and organization shown by the Nalanda Interact Club, led by President Devasahayini K. J., Secretary Yazhini L. P., and Treasurer Karthik R., were highly commended for diligently managing the collection and final distribution.
All the collected rice has been distributed to various orphanages in the Krishnagiri area, providing crucial support and demonstrating the profound spirit of community service. This project stands as a testament to the power of collaboration between youth, educators, and community organizations in addressing local needs and fostering a culture of giving.
